Hi there my Friends !!,

just checking in to let you know I am still free & hellbent on keeping my quit gosh coming up to 4 years how time flies ! Smile .

My Mum had been in hospital for close to a month & is was transferred to a nursing home temporarily for 3 months for respite to be assessed , so as no other family members have stood up to help plus my Dad is being rather difficult so it's been up to my partner & I to go buy Mum all the clothes-shoes etc, etc she needed as my Dad wouldn't take anything in to the home, she has only been there 4 weeks now & assessed as 'high care' and now facing to get the appropriate forms filled to find her a place & of course they were all given to my dad to fill out yet he has not done one , I offered help as well as organsing social workers to help him & he screamed at me telling me to get out ..... so I did as I do not deserve to be spoken to in such a shocking manner.

I am trying hard as I can but 99% of my time now is trying to do as my Mum wishes and help all I can ,I have found her an Aged Care Advocate who is doing all she can to make sure Mum gets the best of care which she never got at home unfortunately , so please understand I am not avoiding the forum but simply I have hardly any time even to answer my emails.
Love to All ,
Simone xx

Hi, Simone, good to hear from you. I'm so sorry to hear about your mother. You're a wonderful daughter to take care of getting her placed in the proper facility.

So glad you're still free of the demon. Bet you can't even remember being a smoker.

Take care of yourself and visit often.

Simone,

I can imagine how hard it is for you to watch your mom need the care she needs to be in home. I went through it with my mom so I speak from experience. Hugs to you and your mom both.
