Good to see some of the familiar faces still here! I’ve been gone for a bit. Still reading now and then and have even made a few attempts at quitting, although I haven’t been posting for fear of failing yet again. Today is day 2 and this time I am going cold turkey. I don’t think I’ve ever made it more than a day cold turkey but this quit feels different for some reason. So here I am, 2 days in and posting so that I have no choice but to hold myself accountable.
One thing that may help this time- boyfriend is quitting with me, so I have someone to go through this with, although we may want to kill each other by the end of the week LOL. We have a roommate that smokes, but only outside the house. I bought the house (YAY!) just over a year ago and have smoked less than 10 cigarettes inside in total. I’ve always been an outside smoker anyway.
Looking forward to meeting the newer people here and getting reacquainted with everyone else!

Great to see you again, Jenny and terrific to learn that you're two days free. I, too, quit cold turkey. It was pretty frightening in the beginning but each day became a little easier and I really felt good about myself.
Congrats on buying the house. That's quite an achievement in today's economy.
Hang in there and stay close to these boards. Again, great to hear from you. _________________

Well done, Jenny, on starting your quit and gettin g to day 2. That's a big start! You just need to keep on saying "NO" every time you get the urge. The urges start to spread out until you don't notice them very much. Remember your lungs. Take care of your heart. Quitting restores their health. You can do it! Millions have succeeded, even thought it may have taken several tries. Keep it up!

Hi Jenny!!! are you still here? I hope so.
I visit less and less. Not cause I dont love you all,
but things are busy with work and babysitting....
I think I dont think about smoking hardly at all, so
I dont think as much about coming here
Ill try to check in more often.... _________________
