Hi All
Thankyou all for all of your kind words. Jimmy will be laid to rest this afternoon. I know that he too says thankyou. For Leona, Margret and Wanda, your losses are in my prayers. There is a lesson for all, espeicailly those of you who have not quit. There is nothing, absolutely nothing glamourous, sexy or exceptable about smoking. Quit and stay quit. As kevin writes everytime, keep choosing life. My quit is stonger because of my friend and my advocacy to fight the rights of the tobacco companies has grown into a vengance.

I'm so sorry to read about your friend Jim,
I think one of the greatest ways you can honor his memory is to keep your quit. And I know you will. We should take a walk for Jimmy, don't you think? _________________

Dear Jim,
I can relate, somewhat, to how you're feeling. When I was 32 (I'm now 67), my best friend died of liver cancer. She was also 32 and had 2 small children. It was absolutely devastating and I thought I'd never get over the feeling of emptiness. However, life does go on and things did get better Although she's been gone for 35 years, I still remember her and the wonderful times we had together. Her husband chose not to stay in touch with her friends although we all tried, so I have no idea what ever happened to her children. That's a big regret I have but there was nothing I could do about it so had to accept it.
As someone else wrote, the best remembrance you can give your friend, Jim, is to keep your quit. Also, keep his memory alive in your heart and stay in touch with his family if they will allow it.
