I felt I needed to share this because it was such a beautiful day. I live in Michigan. It was about 75 degrees out side, the leaves are just starting to change. My husband went to the Michigan game today, so I decided to take my little boy to the park with his bike.
We took to bike out of the car and road on this path that goes around this pond with ducks, along the way I would walk , then run. I thought to myself, how great it is that I can do this and breathe. My old self would have been struggling along holding onto the cigarette, wishing I didn't have to take this walk.
We went around the pond 3 times, about 2 miles. The last round I started to stop and pick some wild flowers to bring home and put in a vace. When I was a smoker, I never did these kind of things. I would take my son to the park, plop down at a picnic table smoke my brains out while he played.
I realized today the beauty of life and the great wonders without smoking. I love it Jeri |

Hi Jeri,
Bet the smoking Jeri wouldn't have been able to ride a bike around the lake 3 times. You son probably had a wonderful time with his "new" mom. _________________

Jeri,
The little ones know and see more than we give them credit for. I am sure your son was just beaming with pride that his Mom was having quality time with him instead of zoning off like smokers do! Thanks for reminding us about the beautiful things we have to be thankful for.

Jeri,
Isn't wonderful the newest of life? Time with your son and outside enjoying the day. As the saying goes...."life doesn't get any better than this"!!
