Well my fellow quiters, I am so happy right now! I had some great news this morning (and it is only 8 am est!). Sorry, this isn't "I won the lottery and can take all of woofmang to Hawaii" good, but good in my little world!
So, after I finished crying tears of joy, I remembered I had my computer on ~ doing my regular "how's everybody at woofmang" morning thing. Then the lightbulb moment......drum roll please.....I certainly never crave a cigarette when I am happy.
OK, this may be old news for a lot of you great quitters, but I never realized until this morning how ~ for me ~ smoking was not associated with joy in my life! Down times, loneliness, and even partying, but not ever have I associated good news with smoking. This is a real breakthrough for me!
Please feel free to use this thread for any and all good news, thoughts, whatever. Bring it on, baby! Good thoughts and vibes to all! _________________

Now that's just DUCKY but I was hoping for HAWAII.
Well I've come to the conclusion I was never a smoker although I put 28 or 29 years into being a non smoker in a smokers body. You guys actually make me feel guilty most days as I don't seem to be suffering near enough and it points out I should have QUIT years ago. There is a saying I've tried to live by when I recognized it happening and that is "There is nothing to fear but fear itself" Well go figure now I realize all that time I put into my QUIT NOT was actually the fear of QUITTING and not succeeding as failure in any aspect of my life is never acceptable to me. I've always been a tad of a perfectionist. _________________

Hi,
I did not recieve good news this morning but I woke up so does that count?
Shucks, I was hoping you won a ton of money and was going to make sure we all got to meet each other.
Second thought, I did get good news this morning, someone had been thinking of ME and that felt pretty special...so I lied I did get good news this morning ...you will have to excuse me...this is early for me to be communicating.
I hope everyone has a great day and just be thankful! _________________

Me, too. I realize that smoking was associated with pretty much all the negative things in my life. Let's see, good news Friday -
My are 2-0 and on their way to Houston. WOOHOO!
What else...aced my last test and blew the curve so now everyone hates me in that class. Not going to feel guilty either, they could have studied!!
Happy Friday everyone. I was SO ready for this one to get here... _________________

Enjoy the good times Lynn. It's so easy to get caught up in the negative stuff that we lose sight of all the blessings we take for granted. So my good news is that you reminded me that it is all aound me all the time. Thank You! Keep that chin up Lynn that looks good on you!

Hey, Lynn, I share in your joy for our Cardinals. Aren't they awesome?
Another good thing in my otherwise hum-drum life; we watched our local high school football team win their homecoming game last night. It was a beautiful fall evening; perfect for football. The best part was that I wasn't worrying about when and where I'd be able to have a smoke.

I'm a little late for the world series - but very happy about your good news, Alleghany............
I am finding I think of cigarettes less and less...some days hardly at all. But, I notice smokers everywhere I go. I always point them out to my husband. It helps me remember that I'm sooooooooo glad I'm no longer in that trap.
But, I won't let my guard down - NOT EVER. _________________
