I had developed a nasty cough that would not go away and was sure I was coughing up parts of my lungs. Well go figure I'm on medication again as now I have a throat infection. I thought I had something ghastly but the swab came back with this infection. Apparently the cough at 3-6 months is quit common as my lungs are now clearing. The infection the Doctor figures is due to the crap coming up from my lungs. I never mentioned it but I ended up with blood poisoning about a month back running along my gum line. It was ghastly and I take such pride in my teeth I was horrified when the Doctor said I'd be lucky if I didn't loose any. Well I lucked out they are fine as I gargled so much it should have killed all the germs but no now this new one. Just thought I'd share incase anyone else starts to have problems in the mouth area. The good thing is it should all be over soon and once my immune system isn't suffering from constant infection it should get back to normal.
Three months, one day, 8 hours, 51 minutes and 5 seconds. 2334 cigarettes not smoked, saving $653.87. Life saved: 1 week, 1 day, 2 hours, 30 minutes. _________________

Dear Melody,
Sure hope that infection leaves as quickly as it came. Isn't it amazing how these things just seem to happen? So glad you went to the doctor. _________________

Melody,
Good gracious girl! Sorry to hear you're down with an infection. Just think afterwards, you'll know you are just that much closer to being free of the smoking affects on your body.
Get Well!

Hey guys I feel GREAT. I don't smoke this is all part of the cure. Just imagine if it is this hard on your system QUITTING what it was doing to you as a smoker. When you QUIT you are in recovery sort of like being in a car accident. It's not like if you were in one car accident you'd go back for another just because you decided you didn't want to recover any more. So I'm continuing to recover and it means no pain no gain. _________________
