Mom is "stable" - more tests today and tomorrow. I'm still in Pittsburgh and unless there is a major turn for the worse will drive on Saturday morning. Weather is still bad up there - freezing rain on top of snow - very icy. I did talk to her on the phone. She is very confused. I know your prayers are helping both of us! The group of ladies that stay with her during the week are going in to the hospital so she isn't by herself - and they keep me posted and re-assure her. I'm ok - I decided to work out and then work late so I wouldn't be home alone worrying. I dug out a couple of old cinnamon sticks - my favorite crutch from early in my quit - still very comforting. I may have to dust off a few more of the tricks from early quit days - but I have the tools and determination I need to get through this smoke free! Especially knowing you are all out there with support and prayers. I'm ok and mom is hanging in there too. _________________

Dear Mary,
Great to hear from you. I'm so relieved that you didn't attempt to drive in the snow and freezing rain. It must be very reassuring to know that your Mom's friends are nearby and keeping you informed. So happy to hear that things seem to be going better.
Keep that quit going. Whatever would we do without our cinnamon sticks? _________________

Thanks for updating us, Mary! Glad to hear your mom has so much support, too. Careful on those roads whenever you do get moving again! _________________
