Did anyone see Dateline last night about how the French women eat?
I found it facenating(sp)! Enjoy your food but just eat smaller portions, and their exercise is walking! And PLENTY of water. And they are thinner than American women. Did I miss anything?
Sounded good to me!

Just wanted to share!

Love, Londa

I didn't see "Dateline". But, I read a review of the book in last month's Vogue.

I think it is a very touchy subject, because the "diet" (they would say lifestyle) is not at all what most U.S. doctors suggest.

I noticed several weeks ago Marylyn Vos Savant didn't (wouldn't?) publish her eating habits (which are about the same as the French Women's Diet) in Parade Magazine ~ IMO it probably had more to do with this being such a touchy subject than her column length/space issues.

I believe there is a lot of validity to the concepts of this "diet", but it is a lifestyle that can be very difficult to sustain in the United States.

OK ~ that's 4 paragraphs starting with the word "I" ~ so I guess I gave my opinion! LOL!!!! Shocked Embarassed Wink Rolling Eyes

I didn't see DAteline, but she was on the Today show this morning, and it sure seems to me that the gist of it is - smaller portions! And walking more than driving, which is easier in Europe where they have wonderful public trans, unlike here Rolling Eyes

I know there was more to it than that, but REALLY generally, it makes sense I suppose.
