Hey All,

Well, I finally found a program that I am losing on. I have lost 2.5 lbs.

I am trying to follow the Body For Life diet. I tweak it a little. I especially like eating 6 times a day!! O.K., so it's still only 1400 calories a day Wink

I already work out, but I am breaking it up by muscle group. I was doing 1 hour of cardio, and now they only want me to do 20 minutes. although I do workout 6 days a week. Each time is only 20 minutes cardio and about 46 minutes weights.(that is on separate days). So far, I reccomend this. don't let it scare you if you see the book. It is a bodybuilder type diet, but we can eat this way forever, (or we should) Laughing

Anyway, I now weigh 157.4 and I am 5'4". I'm shooting for 140. Go to their site and check it out. I ordered the book used at Amazon and it is like new, only $9.00

I, too, am still using Fitday.com. It's fantastic. I've finally begun to see some progress and have lost about 4 pounds. The nicest thing, though, is that I feel thinner. Can't really explain it, just much more comfortable in my body.

Oh, and James, welcome to the group. There are no membership lists nor rules. We're just "conversing" about our failures and successes in the "fitness" thing.

I was at the Dr this morning after work and I have lost 4 pounds. Smile This makes me happy.

I will check measurements later.

I think I will do the measurements and not worry so much about the lbs for now...I don't know if I can keep up with my fat intake, my carbs and all the stuff I probably should....I just eat when I get the chance and try to stay out of the kitchen at night except for a snack.

Thanks Jo! Like I said, no sign on the door, so here I am! As I write this I am ending day 2. Just like when you quit smoking, the first 3 days I find to be the hardest, as my body gets readjusted to life without sugar, fat, and salt. So far so good.

Kay, that's why I'm using fitday. I put in what I eat and it does all the tracking. James, I admire your resolve to do without those things, and of course you are welcome!

Ok...Time to get with the program and make the extra pounds go away - just learned we will have a Weight Watchers at work program starting next week...I've been getting to "Curves" and enjoy the activity - but trying to make better food choices doesn't seem to be working - and there are just times when I can't seem to quit snacking....Hope something works....soon!

I've really got to join you all and get with the program. I have been such a procrastinator when it comes to losing weight. I was at the doctor today...and I will not repeat my weight. But I will say it surely has motivated me to seriously think about losing these unwanted pounds. It will be hard though because of other medical problems I have.......But, I'll try like hell.

Hugs,

Was back at the Dr for a re-check.

Only those same four pounds are gone. Still 16 more to go. Hum... Back to the treadmill now that I am better. Smile
