Mindy,
Why in the world would you want to erase a over a year of your life -- a very important year; the one during which you were a non-smoker. You still are, you know. You do what you feel comfortable with but I'm for the earlier date. You didn't really begin smoking again, you had one little slip. _________________

I guess I've been wallowing in my pity long enough. It's time to let go to all the awful feelings the best I know how and move on and never look back. My quit date.......I am seeing things through a bit of a different perspective these days. All I know is I am smoke and nicotine free today.
Thanks for all the thoughtful posts and PM's. You all are so wonderful. |

I know I'm awfully late - and I haven't been around lately.
But, I'm always thinking of you, my strong friends.
I think............................
You stumbled, so what? You have 13 months behind you!
The strength is in being able to pick yourself up and keep going. That's real strength - and you've got it!
I hope this message finds you peaceful! _________________

Mindy:
I am WAY behind in this particular forum. Sorry I am so late in responding to your post.
Looks like you are staying with your original quit date, and I am glad that you are! You didn't lose all that you worked so hard for! The only way you could have lost it all is to have begun smoking again. Lighting up and smoking one cigarette, as stupid and dangerous as it is, is NOT the same as starting to smoke again.
Glad you have decided to move on and let this go. It was just a bump in the road.
