UGH! I used to be on just about ever tobacco companies mailing list - coupons in the mail to make my addiction just a little bit cheaper - if I didn't use them I shared them with other smokers. I've called their toll free numbers asking to be taken off their mailing lists...and some have stopped - but every other week or so I STILL GET COUPONS....$6 off on a carton - $1.50 on two packs...I feel a tug a sort of..and the junkie thinking record in my head is all cued up ready to play its message....ok you prove your point - you can quit....why not use one of these coupons... NO WAY!! not with almost 11 months of freedom - and I tear those coupons up now...why promote a "friends" addiction. I get enough junk mail - come on Phillip Morris - give me a break! _________________

Iiii've been told if you put return to sender on those and other kinds of junk mail and send it back it soon stops the junk from coming as they have to pay twice to get the mail out and back and there are no companies that want to do this as it would cost them tons of money if everyone did this you could give this a try _________________

Leona, that's exactly what I've been doing with junk mail. We receive many credit card offers and rather than shredding them, I send them right back using their own postage paid envelope. So far I haven't seen a decrease in the number received but I'm not giving up. I don't get anything from tobacco companies but would do the same with them. _________________

I hate junk mail. Haven't had any mail though in 2 days. Waiting on a change of address.

I just gave my $3.00 off a carton coupons to someone who smokes. Heck, they are going to buy them anyway, why not save a few bucks! _________________

I saved about six of those coupons and mailed them back. Ok...so it cost me 52 cents but it was worth it. My black magic marker really fixed up those mailings. That was almost a year ago. Darn I do believe I was taken off their list.
I was having great fun.

I sent some back asking what they wanted me to do with death coupons and asked if they wanted me to tell them what they could do with them
