You probably heard the news. Just four months - that's diagnosis to death for Peter Jennings. Very sad - but a good reminder - that staying quit is important! We've discussed this before... http://quit-smoking-support.woofmang.com/viewtopic.php?t=4362&highlight=jennings
I'll quote Londa:
WORRYING DOES NOT EMPTY TOMORROW OF ITS TROUBLES ....
IT EMPTIES TODAY OF ITS STRENGTH
I'll continue to give myself the best possible chance to avoid that diagnosis - I won't smoke today! and I'll decide again tomorrow - but I'll probably continue to choose LIFE! _________________

I'll join you Ms. Mary. I won't smoke today. Tomorrow will take care of itself! _________________

It was a shock to have CNN.com open to that Peter Jenning's headline. He died much too young. Prayers to his family. Keep free folks.

My Mom was diagnosed in november at the age of 47 and died february 10th. she lived with the cancer for 5 years.....they went back into her history and found it on xray when she was 42, but the spot of cancer had been overlooked. It had gone to the brain.....she did not really know anything the last 6 months. Peter had quit smoking 20 years ago...which makes him about 47 when he quit. It was to late for him I guess. But quitting may have given him 10 more years...whos to say. Depressing. My prayers to his loved ones, and to all of us who are struggling with this..may we all stay quit, and healthy. That was quick. Makes me thankful my mom had two and a half years from diagnosis to death.
I hope I didn't wait too long. For my family's sake!

How sad....my prayers are with his family.
There's no guarantee that any of us will even be here an hour from now.....that's why it's so important to for us to live each moment.
