Frankie, my dear friend in this journey....I am sorry to hear about your illness....I know you will fight it with just as much gusto as you have beating the addiction.....
as for the monkey butt, must have been one of those potholes you missed on the way home.....
keep up the great sense of humor and your wonderful attitude towards life as well as others.....
we love you...

Thanks to Tomster, Kay, Essie, Lori, Jimotter and anyone else who I might have missed thanking.
I cannot say enough how the bonds of your friendship has helped me to maintain a positive attitude through this whole thing.
Everyday when I enter the center I am immediately greeted by a smiling receptionist who is genuinely happy to see me.
After I wrestlle with her to scan in my bar code (patient I.D.) "But I already notified them you were here Frank".. "I don't care this is how I get my frequent flyer miles"...
This is the kind of person I am. Make the best of a bad situation. While waiting I'll chat up small talk with whoever is waiting for the same treatment, men, women, even children get cancer!
On the table while I am being radiated the technician plays a variety of Grateful Dead music which I provided him with in advance.
They can't understand how happy I am to come here everyday, my job genuinely sucks that bad. (it don't actually) but it is nice to have to leave undisputedly every day at 4:00PM.
Oh, how good it feels to enter a cold room in the hot summer, where I can lay down on a cool table, have a pretty nurse pull my shorts down and listen to groovy music for 15 minutes, about one half of a grateful dead song.
It is kind of freaky though to see how fast they exit the room and close the vault like door about 3 feet think and walls lined with concrete about 5 feet thick. Hmmm... did I pass gas? Or are they afraid of nuclear medicine?
After about 15 minutes, Mark, the tech comes back in and lowers the spaceship.. and it's back to reality. In my case, I just go home!
Only 2 more days of treatment, I'm going to miss that place.
Regards,
