Very Happy Hi All,

Last Saturday I hit rock bottom and didn't care if I lived or died. It was a very awful day in my life and perhaps one to reflect upon. I hate to say it but it took all my strenght not to take an over dose but I managed to get through it.

The amazing thing is that through all of that awful day not once did I ever think of smoking. I think I've reached that point of no return of ever going back to smoking.

I am happier this week. I have a new interest in my life who has been very supportive of me. Of course I cannot say much in the open and at the moment it's just friends of course.

WOW BARB!! I am so sorry you had such a low...low. Are you talking to someone about this "rock bottom" event? I am glad you came out on the other side smoke free but I am more HAPPY that you came out on the other side at all!! Please take care of yourself!!

I'm glad you had the strength to WAIT and not take any action based on your mood.

The thing is that no matter how bad we feel at that moment and no matter how bad things really are at that moment.....we never know what's just around the corner for us....and it could be something truly wonderful once we turn that corner. Very Happy

I knew you were down, Barbara, but I never realized how far.

Glad you pulled through. I am often amazed by the amount of strength we have in ourselves when we really need it. Strength we would have never known of otherwise.

"...perhaps one to reflect upon" is a very accurate assessment. A motivational speaker has suggested that we should, first thing in the morning, eat a live frog. The idea is that once we do that, nothing during the rest of the day could possibly be that bad so we'll have a good day no matter what is thrown at us. Saturday was your frog, Barbara. Very Happy

Thanks everyone.

Shevie, that's a good one about Saturday being my frog.
