I joined weightwatchers on line. Now I wish I had just joined a local meeting. I think I need that support. But I know the support here helped me not to smoke so I thought I could do the same with dieting.

They do offer where you can do online plus monthly pass. But that is $39.95 a month plus the $16.95 I already pay I think.

Anybody have any ideas to help me? Boy this point stuff is something else. But it is making me more aware. I just hate keeping track of it.

Love, Londa

Hi Londa!! I am not 100% familiar with weight watchers, but I do exercise, and like things that are FREE Laughing .

Self magazine, has workouts that you can watch online, and then do them at home, as well as exercise & meal idea plans, and also a support message board. They also give you a log where you can log your workout hours etc. Not sure if that helps, but thought I would tell you about it.

Very Happy Londa,

WW online just recently changed their program so it may take some getting use to as I hear some of the pages take long to load since the site's been changed. I think the Points Tracker is what takes awhile to load. It may be straightened out by now though. I post there in the Nifty 50's forum for people in their 50's. I'm almost certain the 39.95 is for both online and meetings. You can contact the customer service of WW by clicking the link to join without actually going through with it yet.

The WW "e-tools" are included in the "monthly pass" option. If you didn't choose the monthly pass - you might ask about a 'free' trial of the e-tools - you might have received a code to try the on-line tools before you commit to them - talk to your WW leader. Going to meetings is an important part of their program. The on-line support and message boards are ok...I like searching for and sharing recipes and food ideas.

The Points may seem hard to figure out at first...but it gets easier as you become familiar with the points in the things you like to eat. Just like most things...it takes work for the program to work. Bottom line for me...WW works - total 118 lbs - I'm fighting with the last five pounds....
