Simone,
It's good to hear from you. It may be hot there, but here we're freezing. I guess two opposite extremes, neither one very comfortable.
Take care of you!

Well another week of tests this last Tuesday was awful a fasting & total water deprivation from 11pm last Monday night until the last blood taken Tuesday 6pm I now will happily say I would rather starve than go without water!, jeepers what a long test over 9 hours the worst being the blood taking every hour as dehydrated people's veins are way hard to find I was a big baby & after the 5th needle cried my eyes out 9th just was deep breathing.
Good news is I am not diabetic but abnormalities were found waiting results.
So I am still around smoke free & just happy to be able to breathe
LOL Mary Dude that weather is here tonight |

((((Simone))))
It sounds like these tests involve lots of different things. Since you mentioned diabetes as a concern in one of your posts, I would like to recommend a book that I found helpful, and that has really helped my Dad who IS full blown diabetic. Dad wishes he would have altered his diet years earlier - maybe he wouldn't be diabetic now. BUT...the changes he has made have allowed him to (with doctor guideance) cut back on several medications since he is better able to control his blood sugar levels through this eating plan.
Dr. Bernstein's Diabetes Solution. I might not have spelled all that right. Just like quitting smoking is more effective BEFORE lung cancer, eating to control blood sugar is better BEFORE diabetes.
I hope I'm not over stepping any bounds with this suggestion - I'm new here and I'm sure there is a bunch of history I don't know about. I will just never forget the tears in my Dad's eyes when he realized there was a "better way" and his health is suffering because he didn't know.
Hugs,
