Hey Pearl, if you do vitamins here's my own personal choice:
(1) 250 mg zinc daily
(1) 250 mg vitamin C daily (double this to 500 when you feel like a cold is coming on and don't drop back to one until you feel better)
(1) Geritol Complete daily
I start taking this before the first cold weather and take it throughout winter without fail daily. Now if I miss a day, I can easily get sick but as long as I take them seriously through cold and flu season I rarely get more than a sniffle and I never take the flu shot.
But taking them will help even if you have a bug already. The zinc helps boost your own immune system and the C well it kicks the cold germs in the butt and I like the Geritol but take whatever multi vitamin you prefer - it's just that those have been my magic bullet for years.
Get well soon

Lots of people here have gotten the same bug back a second time this winter and spring because it has gone around so many times to so many people.
Take good care of yourself.
