Have you started a new hobby, maybe began to start running or working out? What have you done to better your life since you droped the little devil?
I have started working out...I do weights 4-5 days a week and cardio 3-4 times a week. My lungs feel freash and full of life when I do cardio!
I know EVERYONE on here has done something to take the place of smoking!
Let us know,

I joined the YMCA and then I got sick so my "health" kick really hasn't taken off like I wanted it too.
I play World of Warcraft...now that I can do when I'm sick my game has gotten much better.
What I haven't done is reading...it's a trigger for me, a back door that I can't close. A new book came out in this series I was reading and so I bought it...OMG, I went through some major torture while I was reading it. I read that book in record time...I couldn't handle the urges. So now I'm afraid to pick up another book... _________________

I've rekindled my love for crocheting. Sure can't think of smoking while using both hands. I'm in the process of making afghans for our granddaughters. Have 3 finished and the 4th (and last) almost complete. _________________

I've been walking and walking and walking...what started out as 10 minutes or so to walk off a crave - as turned in to training for long distance walks - half and full marathons! _________________

Not really replaced smoking I just don't do it any more! Its just that what I used to do as a smoker I now do better as a non smoker.
My work out is and has been martial arts for years now at 7 months quit I am really finding a benefit in my stamina and recovery rate. _________________

For the first couple of months I walked a lot and chewed a lot of sugar free gum, but that wasn't really to fill the void.... that was to stop the boredom trigger.
I don't do anything now that I didn't do as a smoker.... but I shall very soon be restarted my favourite old hobby of cycling as I am now energetic enough to actually want to! _________________

I got into learning things from textbooks I'd buy every month. I even took some free online classes. I still try to learn but it's kind of got to a snail's pace for some time now. I ate a lot in the beginning and lost 22 pounds of the weight of I gained. I made message boards my home away from home. _________________

I found that after a short time that my life filled the void.

Yes! Life is filling that void that made me smoke. Since I quit smoking, I got a master's degree and now I'm working on a PhD. I don't think I would have done those if I hadn't quit smoking.
