Crying or Very sad I was alright last year and the year before that was not so bad but this year is the pits. I see my close friend Bobby and how close he is to his kids and cousins and it makes me feel sorry for myself because I am alone. Bobby will be with his family for the Holidays and I won't see him. I usually have plans with someone in the neighborhood but it doesn't look like I will this year. When I wake up every day I don't want to get up and will lay in the bed for hours hoping to sleep the day away. I don't care about anything and nothing interests me at all. I haven't been this depressed in so long that I can't really recall when the last time was. I don't expect for anyone here at Woofmang understanding this feeling because as far as I know everyone else has someone for the Holidays. I have been through many Holidays alone and while some are bad others are not. I just can not see the upcoming ones being good for me and it already has me bummed out. If I didn't see everyone so excited and being so into their families it would not be so bad but that's not the way it is. I think if I hear anohter, my kids, my hubbby, my better half, in regards to the Holidays I will scream.

Barbara - I'm sorry your holidays look so bleak right now. I hope they turn out better than you expect!

Go to a homeless shelter or a soup kitchen or somewhere where you can dole out christmas presents to kids in need. Don't spend it feeling sorry for yourself in bed, spend it making the holiday special for someone in need.

There is no better feeling of family when you can join with people who are truly alone and destitute and give them a glimmer of hope in humanity.

Whether you're religious or not, it doesn't matter. Its something good to do and it really beats being lonely and miserable.

Hope your days get better.

Cheers, Sam

monkeynews thats what I was going to say!
Barbara is a kind person that has went and done
some of the things mentioned if I remember correctly.
Barbara you can go help serve food someplace and eat
yourself too. You will have company and feel good for
helping others.
I tend to get depressed this time of year too, and I have
family!!! please let us know what your going to do.

I am not physically able to work in soup kitchen or hand out gifts for Christmas. My friend Bobby just dropped a bombshell on me today. He told me he told me way back then that he didn't want to get serious. All I did was tell him I had wanted to see him while he's in town and he comes up with that bull. I am really, really, down on men for now.

please try to dust yourself off, pick yourself up and get out and go for a walk. You quit smoking long ago, your strong barbara.
I know you must be feeling depressed, but im sure there is somewhere you can help out at holidaytime.
I hope your feeling better.
Just because you wanted to see him while he was in town, didnt deserve
that remark.......
Maybe hes not "all that".
