My Mother's battle with Alzheimer's finally ended this morning, she passed away at 5:35 AM. It was hard to watch her over her 12 year battle of not having a quality life. This disease strips a person of their being. She is now free of suffering and she is at peace.

Sorry for your loss, Jim.

Alzheimer's is a thoroughly horrible condition both for the victim and their loved ones that have to see them go through it, but she is now at rest.

My thoughts are with you and your family.

Nic

I am sorry I just saw the post Jim...I lost my Dad to multi infarct dementia which is very similar to your Mother's illness....I understand your pain and your strength in letting her rest in peace....it is very hard to watch a loved one lose their memory....I hope you and your family are doing well.
