Hey...haven't been here as often as usual - I was in Florida to walk a Half-marathon at Disney World on Sunday - March 7th - flew home on Tuesday, March 9th - and had a call from my sister when I landed that her husband had died. So I drove to Syracuse on Thursday to be with her for the wake on Friday and the funeral mass on Saturday. He was only 54 years old - but had a long fight with metastatic ocular melanoma. He was diagnosed when I was still in Iraq. Very sad - and my sister will miss him so much - they were married for five years - and were so happy together. At least it wasn't a smoking related cancer - and he was never a smoker.
I drove home today - and go back to work in the morning. A very challenging couple of weeks.... The half-marathon was fun - I really enjoyed the Disney experience. I'm glad it worked out that I could do the race and then be there for my sister when she needed me most.
With a little luck - I'm done traveling for a little while. _________________

Mary,
You and your sister have my condolences for the loss of a love one. I can imagine how much you'd like to stay put for awhile now.
Good to hear you got to do the marathon. _________________
