Still not smoking. Been busy, busy. Worried about the long term quit--hope I can keep it up. Hubby says I'm really testy lately--told him he has to put up with it until I get new better habits in place. It's only been 2+ weeks and I smoked for 27 years. Don't know what to do with myself sometimes--never realized how much I used smoking as a way to escape stressful situations. Want a cig really bad sometimes, but don't want to smoke.
These support groups online have helped me so much more than actually going to a quit smoking group. They only meet once a week, y'all are here all the time. I check them everyday. Don't have time to post usually. Just wanted to say thanks to all for the continued help.

Hi Alice,
You're doing fine, every day will be better. Quit thinking about long term, you only have to not smoke now, the rest will take care of its self. Welcome to our family of nonsmokers! _________________

Hi Alice,
I went through the "crabbies" too and, like you, my husband took the brunt of my terrible moods. It only lasted for a few days big time but almost a week of moodiness. It's much better now, though. So, you see there's light at the end of the tunnel for hubby (and you).
Welcome to the boards!

Hi Alice,
You are doing great. Keep hanging in. It does get better. I had to take that on faith for a while, but I can honestly say it is getting better for me now. I am glad I listened to those with longer quits who told me it would get easier. It does! _________________
