What really helped me to stay quit this long (54 days!) was online support groups.
Getting support from people who are going through the same thing you are is irreplacable.
The forum I used was Journey to Success (you can google it). The registration process takes a few minutes but I liked how there are experts online all the time to help when nessesary.
What forum has helped you? |

The American Lung Association's Freedom From Smoking and this site, woofmang. Without the help of other quitters, I'd probably still be a smoker. _________________

Support makes a big difference - and on-line I found what I needed here at woofmang - but found my way here after reading on-line at the Freedom From Smoking program - American Lung Association's site - used to be free...
Quit - and do it your way....just quit....and keep trying. _________________

This site and these people are the reason I am still smoke free....I went through the lung program also...but found I needed the support the most. (note to self and when you are really bad, they still love you)

Ditto what Jo, Mary and Kay said, we've all been here almost 8 smoke-free years. Welcome, Happy, and congratulations on your super quit! Keep it going and come back soon to report your progress! _________________

I started on FFS, was there a couple of years. Found woofmang early in my quit, been here on and off ever since. I am a co-administrator on a nother site, that does keep me occupied when I am on line, but I still do pop in here. I am sure I always will.

Oh yeah, I hit my 8 year mark last November. _________________
