Cricket, you are not alone, and there's no need to be afraid. I too am having a very slow time in my business, and I'm self employed...so it's a very unstable situation. In fact, this is one reason that I quit. Here in NY cigarettes are sooooo expensive....and the cost was really starting to be a factor.

Now, think about this. If you went back to that "habit" (addiction) again, what exactly would it help. It would cost you money insted of saving money. your health would suffer, ie more dr bills. Oh, and by smoking, would this give your husband more job security? I don't think so. By you smoking, would it help anything at all in the situation?

You know the answer...no, no, and no. So, what possible reason could you use to go back to smoking?

Use this time to be with your husband more....oh, and it's a perfect time to get out that "honey do" list that never seems to get any shorter.

Positive thoughts are what will help.... so you keep that quit, and all the other things will take care of themselves!

Cricket, I am sorry you are having troubles right now. I totally understand where you are coming from but smoking will not make things any better. Smoking will just make things worse. I read what Alison wrote and she's right about not smoking and saving money. Have you been to whyquit.com and downloaded the quit meters that shows you how much money you have saved since you quit? It is really an incentive. You will get through this and it will be much better to get through it a nonsmoker. I have always beleived "God will never give you more than you can handle" Maybe you can turn this around as a positive and you and hubby can spend time together, do things together. Smoking will not change the situation or make it any better. Things will get better! Keep your chin up Smile Keep choosing FREEDOM!!

Cool Cool

I have been quit for 6 Days, 15 hours, 22 minutes and 11 seconds (6 days). I have saved $26.56 by not smoking 132 cigarettes. I have saved 11 hours of my life. My Quit Date: 6/24/2004
