i went to the store today, Target, and purchased leg weights a jump rope and one of those rubber band things with the handles you can do so many excersises with it. When you are watching Tv you can do leg lifts arm excersises and stomach excersises with all of the obove items. You can put the weight on your ankles and your wrists jump rope with the weights or without, all in the comfort of your living room. I know it is hard to get excersising when your at home, but I always had time to smoke, I used all of the stuff I bought today it was easy and felt great. The equipment isn't costly and you don't have to leave the
Jeri family to do it.

And like all things, you make time for what you decide is important enough! I swore for years I didn't have time...then I quit smoking and added an average of 2+ hours to my day that I used to spend smoking...hmmm...seems 30 minutes of that wasn't too much to give up!

20 pounds lost and counting...

Oh no, Barb! Wink Don't send it back, I still have 20 or so to go (not from quitting, I managed to be overweight while smoking!)

Jeri -

Great Idea! I already have the jump rope, leg weights, and hand weights. I've been walking 3 miles 3-4 days a week. So far - I've actually lost 3 pounds - but I'm a newbie, so won't let my guard down.

I will add your idea to the exercise program to mix it up a bit -

Thanks.... Laughing

I staretd thinking "yeah, like that'll help....as if..:" and ended thinking "get me one, i need one...wowser"!?!? ha! Rolling Eyes )....but so far i've found it makes a very good clothes hanger.....I will try really hard to do a good half hour tonight during my favourite TV programme!

My friend who is a fitness trainer tells me that, "Abs are created in the kitchen." Meaning, it's all about diet/dieting -- and he also mentioned that 99.9 % of those "machines" are pretty useless. The best contraption to use, if one must have one Wink are those "wheel" things, that you get on your knees with and then roll out in front of you. Go for that (and the cut back on calories Wink

I don't care what you say about my get fit contraptions, it makes me hot while I use it so it must be doing some good!... Embarassed

no point telling me not to get one now, it's too late! ....and anyway, I saw the lady on the advert - lost 60 pounds in a week...(well, I lost that in the first day ...it cost me the equivalent of £60 British pounds!) Wink

I do crunches too so one way or another i'll get there! And I eat healthily too.

I get bored doing the same thing all the time, anything that tires you must be doing something good...
