Drove Thelma Jane to work today instead of the little S-10 pickup. Thelma is topless and doorless, and it was a BEAUTIFUL day today.
I decided to take the back roads home instead of the Parkway as I usually do.
Got within a few miles of home and a stupid turkey flew up from the side of the road somewhere and flew into my windshield. I was going about 60 MPH at the time.
The right side of my windshield is TOTALLY shattered!

of course, you could look at the bright side, Tom: you didn't get 30 pounds of turkey through the left side of your windshield at 60 mph. that really woulda ruined your day... _________________

Sorry about Thelma Jane but I wish I could have seen the look on your face...bet it resembled mine when the turkey flew up in front of my horse....I looked horrified but it was the one and only time ole Gus did not spook. Hey Tom, too bad they don't come with the dressing huh?

MMMMMMM, Turkey. Lets see you explain that one to your insurance co! Be glad you weren't up here, My son works in a body shop and he has to clean deer guts off cars. Not only do they total cars but the guts end up everywhere, out and inside. The way the cars are designed, they slide right up the hood, through the windshield. Its not pretty! You're lucky it was just a windshield. pic the glass out and you've got Thanksgiving covered! _________________

Hey Tom,
Hope you took that bird home to your wife to fix for dinner. Of course, it's your job to clean it first.
How many times did you have to bathe Thelma Jane before she looked like new again? _________________
