yes and once I got past the..."it will not blow up in my hands" thoughts, I was able to work it with the help of the grandkids ...they love the nook as much as I do...it even reads to them!

Wish we had young grandchildren. Ours are 26, 23, 21 and 20. Hardly the "reading to" crowd anymore.
Counting on our married granddaughter to give us a great grandchild but she wants to wait until she finishes her MBA. Hope we're still able to enjoy children when that day comes. _________________

now that I have had some time to play with the Nook, I can honestly say I love it... Hubby and I look like two kids sitting around a camp fire with flashlights telling ghost stories instead of two old coots reading mysteryies on a Nook and I pad.... He said if someone broke in they would run...there we are all propped up reading in the dark with only the glow of electronics on our faces....

You paint a very funny picture, Kay. Sounds like fun, though. Have fun with your electronic readers. _________________

Kay, I got one about a year ago. It took me a little while to get used to not holding a paper book, but I love it now. I was reading a paper book the other day and when I got to the bottom of the page, I tapped the book - TWICE. It took me a minute to figure out why the page wasn't turning. _________________

Essie it is not hard at all...any books a million can show you how they work or barnes and noble...the kindle is also a good one....I love reading on my Nook, you can enlarge the print, look up words, bookmark, highlight etc....go for it !

Yea for you...hubby bought me an I Pad for X'mas but I could tell he fell in love with it so I went and got the Nook Tablet....now we are both happy... The I Pad will give you more options and free apps.... you can still get books from amazon or barnes and noble with the IPad... _________________
