I have to say this quit keeps me moving the more I move the less I think about smoking. I have gone to working out 3 days a week to 5 days a week an hour at a time. I have been riding the excersise bike 9 miles each time I am at the Gym, then I do weights. I think this is my answer to staying quit. I feel good after I am done, and the thought of a cig sounds awful. when I start thinking of smoking, I clean out a cuboard or find somthing to keep my body moving. At the end of each day I am really tiered, but I am beating the this way. I am afraid if I let myself sit around too much I will take up the habet again, that is my biggest trigger, doing nothing. jeri |

Hi Kay, I haven't lost any weight with all the food I have been eating, but I am maintaining the weight I have, wich is good, because I am happy with what I weigh. If I didn't get the work out that I do, with the way I eat, inplace of smoking, I would be a fat cow. thanks for the reply and support. Jeri |

Glad you are keeping that backdoor (of weight) shut!
I'm finally coming out of the "maintaining" mode and not fearing weight gain as much. Exercise is the answer and helps so much!
Yeah for your quit! _________________

Jeri I am so proud of you! Everytime I start a workout program, my back gets out of wack! Probably I need to do something slower. Just ordered an over 40's walking DVD. And a Yoga DVD.
I give you lots of credit!
Proud of you!

Hi Jeri,
I am proud of you for working hard on your quit. Perhaps though for times when you just want to relax something like reading or knitting might help with keeping your mind off of smoking.
