|
|
If no one minds I'll be adding Mantras and Quotes that I find helpful and/or inspiring in this thread. I hope they help others in their journey as well.
* Discipline is remembering what you want. Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishments.
* Man’s power of choice enables him to think like an angel or a devil, a king or a slave. Whatever he chooses, mind will create and manifest.
* Our attitudes control our lives. Attitudes are a secret power working twenty-four hours a day, for good or bad. It is of paramount importance that we know how to harness and control this great force.
* Become addicted to constant and never ending self improvement.
* Focus on where you want to go, not on what you fear.
* Forget past mistakes. Forget failures. Forget about everything except what you're going to do now - and do it. _________________

Free - please post away! The only test I use as to whether or not something is appropriate to post is...does this contribute to the mission of people helping people beat the addiction to nicotine? If it helps you or has the potential to help someone else...post it! _________________

Feel free to use anything I post that helps you. I find inspirational reading helps with our daily self talk & attitudes.
* Victory becomes, to some degree, a state of mind. Knowing ourselves superior to the anxieties, troubles, and worries which obsess us, we are superior to them.
* Whether you think you can or whether you think you can't - you're right.
* You must take personal responsibility. You cannot change the circumstances, the seasons, or the wind, but you can change yourself. That is something you have charge of.
* Ability is what you're capable of doing. Motivation determines what you do. Attitude determines how well you do it.
* Control your destiny or something/body else will. _________________

* It's not that some people have willpower and some don't. It's that some people are ready to change and others are not.
* Change has a considerable psychological impact on the human mind. To the fearful it is threatening because it means that things may get worse. To the hopeful it is encouraging because things may get better. To the confident it is inspiring because the challenge exists to make things better.
* Good habits result from resisting temptation.
* That which we persist in doing becomes easier, not that the task itself has become easier, but that our ability to perform it has improved.
* Learning to ignore things is one of the great paths to inner peace. _________________

* In order to succeed, we must first believe that we can.
* Instead of giving myself reasons why I can't, I give myself reasons why I can.
* People become really quite remarkable when they start thinking that they can do things. When they believe in themselves they have the first secret of success.
* People may doubt what you say, but they will believe what you do.
* Realize that true happiness lies within you. _________________

* Self-reliance is the only road to true freedom, and being one's own person is its ultimate reward.
* Integrity combined with faithfulness is a powerful force and worthy of great respect.
* While one person hesitates because he feels inferior, the other is busy making mistakes and becoming superior.
* Judge thyself with the judgment of sincerity, and thou will judge others with the judgment of charity.
* It is a great thing to know our vices. _________________

Watch your thoughts; they become words.
Watch your words; they become actions.
Watch your actions; they become habits.
Watch your habits; they become character.
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.
