I think I'm going to get a new bike for my birthday. I want a decent bike, something more comfortable than the $50-special I got from K-Mart 15 years ago - but I am by no means a hard-core cyclist. I ride around my neighborhood!
If anyone has suggestions I'd welcome them. |

Hi Sammie,
I wish I could help, but I have never riden a bike very much. Mine is an old antique from the 70's or earlier.....a 3-speed girl's bike that someone gave me when they moved away from this apartment building! Actually I love it, but I haven't gotten to use it a lot lately.
Good luck with your purchase. And you should get a lot of replies here. I think there are people here who bike! _________________

Well, Sammie, I live in "American Chopper" land, so I'd suggest...

Cycling is great exercise, even it if is only for 30 minutes. I take my kids cycling often. I even have a trailer my bike pulls. My 2 year old rides in it. I have a mountain bike. It has seven speeds and is very comfortable. I bought it at Walmart for under $100 I think and it does the job just fine. _________________
