Darn the MS has progressed as well but I will not let all this get me down I WILL play my Piano/Guitar again so please accept my apologies or not tying many posts ..atm it's pure agony. LOL a few more tests to go phewwwww I'm almost glowing in the dark & I could pass for a pin cushion !!!!!!!!!!

Hi Simone! I'm glad to hear you are getting somewhere with your diagnosis and treatment! RA is a tough one - and combined with MS...wow - that's a challenge - but at least they aren't telling you its all in your head! I know you'll find some relief and find a way to make your dreams come true - believing that they are possible is the first step. Keeping you in my prayers!! Hang in there! _________________

Thanks so much Mary & Donna in all honestly even though I am in agony I feel much better knowing I am not going insane!, as my last Dr made me feel shocking saying it was all 'Stress' & I was was carrying on over nothing.....gee funny how the Endocrine specialist found my hormones are low & stomach tests proved in a gastric emptying test I had to eat a vile burger with radioactive dye so they could see how long my stomach took to digest instead of 30 minutes mine took up to 2 hours the test was 2hrs sitting with back up against some weird x-ray machine I could see my own stomach LOL.. so that was where the weight was coming from.....yes siree that was all in head as well pfttttttttt a lot to cope with but I am postive things will get better from here on...they have too!!!! Rant over a I can't type anymore

i'm glad you're getting somewhere with this, simone - doctors can be incredibly thick-headed when it comes to their diagnoses; of course, they can't be wrong, can they? - keep pushing them to get the care you need. _________________

Simone, getting a diagnosis can be so trying, but I'm glad someone is finally paying attention to you. My sister has gone through nearly a year of being very ill and trying to find out what is wrong. After being blown off over and over, they have finally diagnosed her with Scleroderma and Reynaud's Disease and are sending her to a university teaching hospital about three hours away. It's an autoimmune disease...these seem to run in our family.
Are you seeing a rheumatologist, Simone? There are all kinds of wonderful new medications that don't mess with your gut. Be sure to go to the Arthritis Foundation website. They have lots of great information and a wonderful forum.
Good luck!

Hope you continue to make progress.
It is odd how arthritis seems to be so difficult to diagnose. Just had a family member get diagnosed after several years of complaining.
Sending you good thoughts!!! _________________

Simone,
Glad to hear that your getting somewhere. Some Drs make you feel like you imagine things that just annoys me.
You will play that guitar again because you are very determined.
Feel better.

It is odd as I had a 'genetic marker' blood test that is supposed to pick up things like arthritis as well as plain film x-rays the x-rays showed something so that's why I had a CT Scan it was truly horrific ,I am in serious pain today worse than yesterday so I will quit typing for a while.
Mardi I will post up for sure if the Melrose Norwegian Fish Oil helps at all it usually kicks in after 4 to 12 months |
