Thanks Kevin and Jim. I enjoyed reading the article. There is always room for another reason not to smoke.

I found this particularly helpful. I commented again this weekend to my husband how the only dissappointment from quiting was my circulation had not gotten better. I imagine that I damaged my microcirruclation beyond repair. I had never heard of this before. It is always easier to accept knowing why something may or may not be.
Thanks, Jim! _________________

Thanks, Jim. My doctor had told me the same thing when I had a bone density test and, yes, I am pre-osteoporosis. However, the density has improved greatly since I quit and, of course, with the aid of a prescription. Actually, I'm only taking 50% of the prescription as initially prescribed and am hoping to be able to quit it altogether this summer when I have another bone density test.

Great Information!!
Bone-density and osteoporosis were a concern for me as a smoker - now - my bone density tests are at the high end of the scales - but I also now take a calcium supplement and do weight bearing exercise at least three times a week.... it is never to late to make positive changes - at least we aren't making things worse by smoking!
Thanks for the info Jim - and thanks for fixing the link Kevin - it worked fine for me! _________________
