Yesterday, I took the GRE...graduate record exam....because I am applying to get into graduate school to get my Master's degree in Mulitcultural/Multilingual Education. I have been out of school for 35 years or so, so it has been pretty intense around here, with me trying to relearn algebra and geometry -- heck, even simple arithmetic! I've been studying all day every Saturday and Sunday for two months, in between going to work and traveling for my job. It has been a bear and my husband has been ready to explode, I think.
Well, I did it! I scored high enough to qualify for the program I am going into. I cannot begin to tell you what a relief it is to have this over and how proud I am of myself.
I could not have sat through this four-hour exam if I had been smoking. I could not have focused while craving for smokes. In other words, I could have not done this if I hadn't quit smoking.
Thank you all for helping me get to this point in my life.
