A brilliant piece of advice I was told when I first quit, life will still happen! I'm sorry about the computer and many, many congrats on not smoking!
Smoking solves nothing and manages to kill you at the same time!
Hope you enjoy the new computer!!!! _________________

if you take the cost of a pack of cigarettes and multiply it by the number of packs you used to smoke in a week, then multiply that number by 52, i bet you'll see that you'll save enough money this year to buy yourself a really nice computer, a year's worth of high-speed internet access, and some extra software, too...
congratulations on making the right decision! _________________

Congratulations on choosing not to smoke! (sorry about your computer though...that stinks) We can't stop the thoughts of smoking from coming, but we can ALWAYS choose not to light up. Good for you Pink!

Oh, Pink....feel for ya! Computer problems are ugh!! But, you didn't smoke and that is one more kudos in your hat. You managed through a bout of stress and decided not to include the baggage of smoking to complicate matters. Good for you!
Kevin's right...that's what I did just a week and half ago. I went out and bought a really cool laptop. A reward just for me, myself, and I for quitting. My system was ancient and frustrating.
Hope your day goes better.

It's one of those teachable moments, Pink. A computer causing us problems isn't a terribly unusual event that causes frustration and anger - but it's also not really "that" big of a deal - even when you look an important document, etc. There are far bigger things in our lives that make us angry and frustrated - problems with family/partner, arguments or injustices in the workplace, etc. So it's a good lesson - you say you "thought about smoking" but you didn't. It's a great time to think about it more deeply... when things happen (because they will) that REALLY make you frustrated and angry.. what are you going to do INSTEAD of smoke when the urge hits? Make a plan!
