Hi
Still here hanging around and been really busy (work) but I was wondering since I quit smoking my cholesterol dropped over 20 points it was closer to 200 and now I'm down to 170 I figured it might have something to do with quitting. Just another benefit? _________________

Good to see ya, Lisa! I bet it is! After all, smoking adversely affects the heart....only makes sense that it could be.
Congrats on the drop in numbers...and a very nice drop indeed!

Lisa,
Here's a link on smoking and cholestrol....
http://www.americanheart.org/presenter.jhtml?identifier=4488
Part of the article states....
How does tobacco smoke affect cholesterol?
Tobacco smoke is one of the six major risk factors of heart disease that you can change or treat. Smoking lowers HDL cholesterol levels and increases the tendency for blood to clot. _________________

I am one of those people who got the rare side effects from medication. What causes these rare but serious side effects? It was cramping and the pain after I take any antacid medicines, it would just make me stop heartrending basically. I am presently dieting eating very low calories diet and eating lots of beans in my diet. Do you think there are any connections between those two? |
