Decided to have a few drinks with the wife. She's a slave to the nicodemon and now I want one. Why!!!

At least I'm not out in the cold.

Already over. Whew.

It does get easier.

Luceze,

Stay focused!!! Good for you for choosing not to light up even tho it was a powerful temptation.

Drinking just seems to attract the temptation to smoke. And with better half smoking too....wow!! You did real good not giving in!!!

Keep rememberng all those hassles with smoking....just like you did....thinking about standing outside in the cold. And enjoy and embrace the benefits you have gained with quitting. Keep those reasons you quit in the forefront of your thinking.

Hang tough...you're right at a month quit...it gets easier...but ole Scowling Demon is always lurking and waiting for an opportune moment to appear.

WTG on flipping him to the sideline!!!

Hugs!!

that's the key. craves will always die, all by themselves, and more quickly with every passing day. there's no reason to ever feed one again. (tell the wife.)

Fantastic -- just wait them out. You're stronger than any crave.

eric,
awesome job! i always feel so great when i come home from a night at the bar and i haven't had a smoke. my boyfriend also smokes, so every weekend i end up drinking with a smoker. and every tuesday when i go to play darts. each time gets a little bit easier.
and it is great to know that you don't have to go out in the cold!

Excellent!! Keep it going - take it one crave at a time - one day at a time!

Eric,

that's exactly how we learn to not smoke! Each situation where you would usually smoke, and you choose not to, you reinforce your quit. Each craving that passes without smoking reinforces your quit. Over time, it becomes habitual and normal to not smoke. This is why it gets easier over time.

Congrats!

Josh
