Most importantly you must do the work of not smoking. I took Chantix for 5 weeks. I was on a very small dose. It took me a very long time to get that garbage out of my system ( I think I had trace amounts for over a year with all kinds of yucky side effects). I believe it was my resolve and my decision to live - without cigarettes, that got me quit and kept me quit. I'm smoke free and so happy about that. Please be careful with medications. Not only can they be dangerous, but they can cloud the issues of addiction and strength. I don't know whether or not the Chantix helped, but I can say I don't think it was good for my body to have taken the Chantix. _________________
