I found this interesting...and I have to admit - I've incorporated yoga into my exercise routine and I really enjoy it - alot. It is both mentally and physically challenging - and truly not competitive...its a "personal best" activity. If you haven't tried it - and have an opportunity - I say - "try it - you'll like it"!!
I'm on my way to a class now...have a great day! _________________

interesting article, mary - especially the study involving the veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder; very encouraging. i've been thinking about trying yoga, too; i think this may give me the push i've been looking for.
thanks for posting this link! _________________

Thank you Mary,
I haven't read the article yet but plan to later. I am particularly interested in PTSD since I have it due to the abuse in my past. I have yoga classed near by me and I'd love to give it a try. I think I saw where they have yago for seniors which to some I'm considered a senior now. _________________

Mary,
I just read some in the article. I do believe I'm going to make an effort to go to the senior yoga by me. First I think I have to sign up. I really think it could help me a great deal. _________________

Barbara - Trying a class with seniors would be great! Especially if the teacher knows how to work with some of the limitations seniors are likely to have to deal with. My teacher does several "silver sneaker' classes including a chair yoga class for patients with Parkinson's disease. Yoga is great for flexibility, balance and strength. And the strength is both physical as well as mental. I find yoga challenges both the mind and the body. _________________
